Presentation transcript:

October was a very busy and exciting month in kindergarten October was a very busy and exciting month in kindergarten. We ended our month with an amazing Fall parade and party. A special thank you to the parents who helped to make our Fall Fest in kindergarten so special. ELA We are continuing to work on learning a letter each week. We focus on the writing of the letter and the sound it makes. We are also reviewing our sight words. Please make sure you are practicing any words your child does not know on sight. SOCIAL STUDIES During the month of November we will learn about our First Thanksgiving and compare it to our Thanksgiving. We will also have a chance to do some exciting activities as we learn about the Native Americans. MATH We are continuing practicing writing our numbers and counting many different things. We have also been work-ing on extending the concept of same and different. Audubon Elementary - Kindergarten

CONFERENCES- Please fill out form and return it to me. Remember you can not pick an exact time for your conference. I will try me best to accommodate your choice. I am looking forward to meeting with you at our conference time. As you continue to get your clearances please notify the office and me as well. I like to have a list of parents that I can call if I need some extra help throughout the year.    Homework Folder- Please remove papers each night from the folder-also please write your name on notes that you send to me in the take home folder. *As the weather gets colder, please make sure your child has a warm jacket for recess. Also, be sure to put your child’s name on the inside so that it can be returned to them if it is misplaced. HOMEWORK Thank you for your constant dedication with your child’s education. Please continue to guide your child with homework and the responsibility of bringing the work back on Fridays. Homework is a great reinforcement of what is being taught in the classroom.
