Presentation transcript:

Learning Objectives Recap on the principals of Isometric drawing. Know how to set up and use a drawing board to effectively draw 3D shapes. Know the principals and how to draw a single point perspective drawing. Know how to render to make an object more realsitic.

How to construct an isometric view

Crating This technique puts together boxes that roughly map where each part of your product will be. You can fill in the detail later.

Draw this simple storage box using isometric drawing and crating.

Wheels These can be done using the same technique as last lesson. The “crates” should have equal length sides.

Learning Objectives By the end of this lesson you will know: What an isometric drawing is and how it can help with your design work. What the key features of an isometric drawing are. How to use and apply isometric drawing.

This is an isometric drawing.

An isometric drawing is made up of lines which are either vertical or at 45 degrees.

None of the lines in an isometric drawing are parallel.

You can not do an isometric drawing of curved things.

An isometric drawing shows objects which look 3 dimensional.

It is not an isometric drawing if you have not used a ruler.

Isometric sketches make your design ideas easier to understand.

There are no horizontal lines in an isometric drawing.
