Its Importance in Egypt It is considered the second important city after the Cairo our capital The first and the most important harbor in Egypt It includes three parts are Alexandria the administrative capital and the New Borg El Arab city and the Burg El Arab It ranked seventeenth in term of area between the provinces of the Arab Republic of Egypt
The history of Alexandria Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great ,in 332 BC. He found a village called (Recods) on the Mediterranean and island called (pharos) which he connected between them and built in this place the city bears his name to be the capital of Egypt.
