The UK’s agri-tech sector strategy Jayne Brookman & Callum Harvey AgriFood Team KTN Hello, I’m Callum Harvey from the Knowledge Transfer Network or KTN. The Knowledge Transfer Network is the UK’s innovation network.

UK AgriTech Strategy launched in July 2013 Technological Innovation, Commercialization and Big Data Build Skills and Leadership Improve Funding and Investment Performance Align industry research funding with public sector spend Increase UK export and inward investment performance Increase support to develop, adopt and exploit new technologies and processes Help UK exploit the potential of big data and informatics and become a global centre of excellence Improve the translation of research into practice Provide stronger leadership for the sector Build a stronger skills base to attract and retain a workforce that is expert in developing and applying technologies from the laboratory to the farm

The Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock (CIEL) - This centre will create new livestock technology and products to boost the profitability and productivity of livestock farming.
