A large, high-level area of land

Wide harbor at the mouth of the James River on the Chesapeake Bay

Hampton Roads

Long sloping plateau that stretches from the fall line to the Blue Ridge Mountains

Piedmont Region

Richmond

A mountain range in the eastern part of the Appalachians that stretches from Pennsylvania to Georgia
