Multiple Boot Computer What is it? Hardest and riskiest way to have multiple OS’s You create multiple partitions on your hard drive. You install different operating systems on different partitions. Pick out which OS to use when computer starts up (like the computer in lab).

Multiple Boot Computer Pros: Fastest way to run another operating system. Good for gaming Cheap (Ubuntu, Mint, and CloudReady are free). Can run less popular operating system on your computer to access the Internet more securely. Can run Windows only software in a Mac. Cons: Need to reboot computer to use other operating system. Need a Windows license. $ Partitioning a drive is risky (make sure to have complete backup in place before attempting).

Multiple Boot Computer How is it done? (Warning: Have a complete backup before you partition your drive.) Putting Windows on a Macintosh computer. Get Windows with license.
