Political discussion Level 1

Discuss these political questions together. Who is the leader of your country? Are they right-wing or left-wing? Do you like them? In general, do you think politicians do a good job? Can you think of any politicians that you admire? Why? Is there a lot of corruption in your country? How? If you could change one thing in the country you live in, what would you change? What do you think is more important in politics, style or substance?

And these? Rich people should pay more tax than poor people. The benefit system is a very bad idea. It costs too much money. If a person doesn’t vote they should have to pay a fine. If someone commits a terrible crime they should be killed. Politicians shouldn’t be allowed to have any other income apart from their job.
