(President’s Day) -Our class field trip is coming up next week!  Wednesday, Feb. 22nd to Ms. Bee’s in Winter Garden and then picnic in the park! -Bible verse and family activity due Tues, Feb 28th -Race for Education on Wednesday, March 1st! A Note from Mrs. B  Happy Valentine’s Day! We have had another great week in 2nd grade! We were able to celebrate Sarah’s half birthday which was fun, and we’re looking forward to having President’s Day off!  Next week we also have our field trip on Wednesday to Ms. Bee’s and Chapin Station so these couple of weeks are so much fun!! We have officially started Terra Nova prep and the kids are doing great with it so far. Also, parents, my last day at FCS will be on March 17th, when spring break starts. I am sad to be leaving but I am looking forward to getting some time to set up everything for Miss Scarlett.  I appreciate the support and encouragement from y’all who have expressed it to me! Shout-out to Carolyn who brought us a whole pack—you ROCK!! -Our beehive needs: pencils and black expo markers -For our field trip next week, please send in spending money in a baggie with your child’s name on it. It can be up to $10! We have chaperones for our trip, but EVERYONE is welcome to join us at Chapin Station after the field trip is over for a picnic lunch. 

What’s the Buzz In Second Grade February 16th, 2017 Reminders: -Please send your child’s folder to school every day with the behavior chart signed, including Fridays. Homework checklist should be signed as well and turned in the following week. Items to put in folder: notes for Mrs. B, permission slips, money due, library books that need to be returned to the library or Mrs. B’s library, and of course homework. -If your child has a book out from Mrs. B, they can have them out for two weeks. After two weeks, Mrs. B will come buzzin’ for them!  -Library was on Tuesday, with our wonderful librarian, Netta! Make sure you’re staying on top of your BA points! Happy ½ Birthday, Sarah! Don’t forget to have your child review Phonics Charts and read for 15 minutes every day! Save the cursive chart, Book Adventure password, Shurley English capitalization and punctuation rules and phonics charts all year for when your student is working on HW!
