Site Plan: March and April

March and April Workshops Discussions Round table discussions were held in the workshops after the presentations where participants were able to write comments and views directly onto copies of the floor plans. Comments from the March and April workshops included: position of gyms in physio dept & sound insulation renal office space facilities to be provided in group room positioning of mental health suite lends itself to stigma & lack of integration with primary care and long term conditions technical issues from clinicians about size of rooms and staff flow through building range of issues regarding disability access – height of sockets, turning space for wheel chair users, size of lifts, dementia friendly design pram and wheelchair internal parking space Security of children's’ centre organisation of voluntary sector and refreshment space including storage

Site Plan: May

May Workshops Discussions Discussions at the May workshops included more detail about: How the space in the renal dialysis unit was to be configured How the diagnostics unit would work – patient flow and desk space No window required to X-ray room. There could be a window to ultrasound but this would need to have plasterboard lining internally. How the podiatry space will work, and will podiatrists be able to access gym space (yes) What facilities the long term conditions services would be able to access The amount of cycle parking How people might use mobility scooters, and where these might be parked Storage, toilets and cleaning spaces Consider clinical wash hand basins in the mental health rooms so that they could be used for a wider range of activities.
