ACT supply security project
Act supply security project Bulk power supply to the ACT comes via TransGrid’s 330 kV network to Canberra Substation. Williamsdale Substation is connected at 330 kV to Canberra Substation via a single line. ActewAGL’s 132 kV network is supplied from Canberra and Williamsdale Substations. Total loss of Canberra Substation would also disconnect 330 kV line to Williamsdale and effectively blackout whole ACT. Stockdill Substation will be connected to the 330 kV network bypassing Canberra Substation. If future total failure of Canberra Substation, supply will be maintained to ActewAGL’s 132 kV via Stockdill and Williamsdale Substations.
