Unblock Websites on Avast

For protecting you system from different cyber attacks, Avast security software is created to secure your data and systems. It utilizes a set of modules which scans and detects the different sections of your system. One of the module is Web Shield. It has been designed to scan the sites and blocks the malicious ones if detected.

For visiting a blocked site, you will have to disable the Web Shield module or add the site in the exclusions list. In case if you have enabled the website blocking or accidentally blocked any site that you don't want to then you can disable the feature quickly.

What you have to do is: 1.In the system tray, right click on Avast icon (in orange color). Afterwards select Open! User Interface. It will launch the main application of the antivirus. 2.Click on Site Blocking after selecting the Additional Protection available on the left side of the window. On right hand side you can see the list of websites the antivirus is blocking. 3.At the end of the row, click on gray Delete option to stop the software from blocking a website after selecting a site on the list. 4.At the top of the window clear the check from Enable Site Blocking box in order to disable a website blocking in the antivirus. 5.For returning to the desktop close the antivirus users interface.

How to website in exclusion list: 1.Double click on icon for opening the user interface. 2.Click on Web Shield icon after selecting real-Time Shields tab from left. 3.For opening Web Shield settings window click on Expert Settings. 4.From the left click on Exclusions. 5.Enter the URL of the site after clicking once in the Enter Address field in the URLs to Exclude section. 6.Click on Add option. 7.Enter all the websites which you want to visit and ten click OK to save the settings and close the window.
