STUDENT SUPPORT

What Welfare Tutors do The role of Welfare Tutors is to recommend professional help services and, most importantly, to limit the damage that the problem could have on your studies. Welfare Tutors are able to arrange for a deadline to be extended for you, or for a particularly serious issue to be brought to the attention of the examination board. The Welfare Tutor's role covers the following areas: Co-ordination of the student support system within school and college. Consultant to personal tutors and students. Liaison point for the University Student Services Division. Supporting students experiencing academic and personal issues.

Student Representation registry/policy/studentreps/index.aspx registry/policy/studentreps/index.aspx What is the Student Representation System? The Student Representation System (SRS) is a partnership between the University of Birmingham and the Guild of Students. The aim of the SRS is to ensure that every student at Birmingham is effectively represented to the University and the Guild by a fellow student. It is founded on the belief that through effective representation students become partners in their education, allowing a more active involvement in, and ownership of, their learning.

Other: studentservices/conduct/help/index.a spx There are many people and organisations within the University that are able to provide support, help or advice. This includes help with appeal submissions, advice about discipline investigations or examination irregularity allegations.
