1.GET OUT SPIRAL AND TURN TO PAGE 3 & 4 2.ON PG. 3 GLUE 5 PHOTOS INTO YOUR SPIRAL AND 3.WRITE A DESCRIPTION OF THE CAREERS NEXT TO THE PHOTO THE LEARNING GOAL IS TO PRACTICE WHAT WE LEARNED YESTERDAY BY IDENTIFYING: 1.Hypothesis 2.Independent variables 3.Dependent variables 4.Control/Constant 5.Conclusions

GRAB A WHITEBOARD AND MARKER Along the left hand side write the following: –Hypothesis –Ind. Variable –Dep. Variable –Control

IDENTIFY EACH VARIABLE IN THIS SITUATION Sponge Bob notices that his pet Gary and pet Stuart are suffering from slimotosis, which occurs when the shell develops a nasty slime and gives off a horrible odor. Sandy says that drinking kelp is the cure. Sponge Bob decides to test this cure on Gary first by having him drink kelp. After a week of treatment, the slime is gone and Gary’s shell smells better. Sorry Stuart…

Mr. Krabs created a secret breath mint that he thinks will “cure” the bad breath people get from eating crabby patties. He had 50 customers (Group A) eat his breath mint. The other 50 (Group B) received a tic tac. Both groups were told that they were getting his special breath mint that would cure their bad breath. Two hours after eating the crabby patties, all customers in Group A reported having better breath and none in group B reported having better breath.

SpongeBob noticed that his favorite pants were not as clean as they used to be. His friend Sandy told him that he should try using Clean-O detergent. SpongeBob made sure to wash one pair of pants in plain water and another pair in water with the Clean-O detergent. After washing both pairs of pants a total of three times, the pants washed in the Clean-O detergent did not appear to be any cleaner than the pants washed in plain water.

The population of Bikini Bottom High School were split into 6 groups. They each received a number of hours they had to study for their boating test. Each group received a different amount of hours to study and 1 group was assigned 0 hours After a week the exam grades from each group were recorded

YOU AND A PARTNER ARE GOING TO BE ASSIGNED A SITUATION. You will read the word problem and come up with the following: –Hypothesis –Independent variable –Dependent variable –Control Variable and –Conclusion

Procedure for running a 100m dash 1.Have runners Line up one person to a lane 2.Warm up in lane until directed to get into the runners block 3.With your head down and arms shoulder length apart, bend knees and set feet in each block and place hands on the ground near, but behind the white line. 4.When the official fires the gun, stay in your own lane, and run as fast as you can towards the finish line until you cross it.

YOU GROUP WILL BE ASSIGNED ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TASKS. WRITE DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO COMPLETE IT AND YOUR MATERIALS LIST. 1.How do you tie a shoe 2.How do you blow up a balloon 3.How do you make a flipbook 4.How do you do a push up 5.How do you make a paper airplane 6.How do you change a lightbulb 7.How do you draw a star 8.How do you braid hair
