Invitation To Fund Raising CBS Kumba Profile

CBS Kumba Since September 2001  Background;  Current Faculty;  Academic Programme;  Needs & Challenges;

A Brief Background of CBS Kumba About Us:  The Cameroon Baptist Seminary (CBS) Kumba, is a sister seminary of CBTS Ndu of the CBC which opened her doors in August 2001 with 14 pioneer students and 5 faculty.  This Seminary saw the light of existence thanks to a donation made available by Ma Alma Henderson (of blessed memory). It was an answer to the need for prospective seminarians living in the coastal regions of Cameroon who could not travel to far off CBTS Ndu at the time. It was also necessary to expand the work of the gospel in the coastal region and beyond.

CURRENT FACULTY & STAFF  The seminary has a team of 10 qualified and devoted full time faculty and 5 administrative staff members committed to their call. We are in need of volunteer faculty and staff admin. to meet our growing needs of running the 5 degree specialties.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME CBS Kumba offers three programmes namely: 1) The Certificate of Theology Programme which runs for five years for holders of the Basic Education certificates. 2) The Diploma of Theology Programme which runs for three years for holders of the GCE O/Levels with at least four papers. 3) The B.A. Degree in Theology with five specialties such as Christian Education, Biblical Studies, Missions and Evangelism, Bible & Theology, Bible Translation, Pastoral Care and Counseling. 4) We host the CBTS Ndu Masters extension programme.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION:  The Seminary organizes two entrance examinations into all the programmes: one in early April for those students beginning studies in August (Fall) semester and a second in late December for those students beginnings in January (Spring) Semester.

NEEDS & CHALLENGES: INFRASTRUCTURAL NEEDS:  CBS Kumba for quite some time has found it difficult to complete the Academic Complex due to lack of funds and the demise of the funder.

Financial Needs  CBS Kumba is in dare need of at least 46 Million FCFA each year to go through the academic year How can we raise these fund? In the past, the CBS Administration was able to work with a few churches, and individuals as friends of CBS, to raise funds for the seminary.

Financial Needs  Today, we are here to raise your awareness, that CBS Kumba is the Laboratory of the Church, and the Executive President of the CBC has encouraged us to come and talk with you.  What is the Lord telling you to do for CBS Kumba, take up the challenge to partner with the Lord as you support His Kingdom business in CBS Kumba.
