Introduction for Charity Ferguson-Harris EDU 671 Fundamentals of Educational Research Dr. Newman Miller July 21, 2015

Who am I Louisiana native Married for 19 years One child, a son who is a sophomore in college and very active in basketball He is on a traveling AAU Select Team that keeps our weekends locked up

Professional Background/Experiences 15 years as a lead teacher with Head Start Three years as a lead teacher with Early Head Start This is my second year as a teacher with PPCD (Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities) for students ages 3 to 5.

Personal Interest I love scrap booking Read books (suspense novels and on occasions romance novels). Shop for shoes

School Experience I attended public school from kindergarten until graduation. My experiences were great. An experience stands out to me was a field trip that we took to the library (1 st grade) and I found out that you could actually get books and read them and take them back. Up until then I thought that you could only read school books or the Bible. This opened up a whole world for me and fostered my love for reading.

Degree Program I am enrolled in the MAED I hope to use my degree to become an instructional coach or a site director.
