The benefits of magnetic knee braces for knee support The knee is an important part of a human anatomy and any injury or disease to the knee can play havoc to the concerned person’s daily activities. Especially, in case of athletes and sports persons, knee injuries are quite common and for those who have knee surgery, health experts prescribe the use of knee supports and braces. The use of knee braces helps in providing stability and support as part of knee rehabilitation and these knee braces are also worn in case of injuries such as Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) rupture, torn knee cartilage, sprained medial knee ligament, Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL) rupture, knee arthritis, runners’ knees etc. Knee braces for osteoarthritis helps in reducing the pain by shifting the concerned user’s weight away from the injured part of the knee. Such an act would improve the ability of the patient or the user to walk or run easily and help in increasing the distance that he or she can walk or run comfortably. There are different types of knee braces available that comes in variety of designs and majority of these knee braces are constructed by using materials that are rigid as well as flexible in proportionate portions. These materials may consist of plastic, metal or other composite material in the form of moldable foam, synthetic rubber for positioning and padding. In recent times, the use magnetic knee braces have gained prominence among health experts. The magnetic knee braces unlike normal knee braces have magnets placed around the knee joint region particularly around the kneecap to reduce the pain.magnetic knee braces

These knee braces are based on the principles of magnetic therapy, which is in use for more than a century as a drug free and nonsurgical treatment for bodily pains. The magnetic therapy has emerged as quiet beneficial for those who are suffering from arthritis pain which is one of the most common causes of knee pain and a leading cause of disability in the United States. The magnetic knee braces work in combination of the following below mentioned factors- Increase in blood flow: Magnetic fields as such attract and repel charged particles in the blood stream and in this process; certain amount of heat and movement is generated. Such activities would cause the blood vessels to widen that accelerate healing thereby bringing in fresh oxygen and nutrients and in turn removing the toxins. This could help to reduce inflammation and stiffness. Reduction in pain: Magnetic fields are believed to activate some part of the nervous system resulting in the lessening of the pain signals sent to the brain and thereby reducing the amount of pain felt. Promotes general well being: By using the magnetic knee braces, the person using these knee braces is supposed to benefit in the form of improved sleeping activity levels that in turn results in reducing the stress due to knee pain. Some of the popular magnetic knee braces are available in two sizes such as S/M fits knee size up to 14.5” and L/XL fits knee sizes up to 16.75”.magnetic knee braces
