URL : Address of web site. WWW : Is a universal mass of web pages connected together through links.

Week-3 (Lecture-1) Wireless technologies Types of Wireless Technologies: Wireless Local Area Networks b (Wireless Ethernet) a, HiperLAN ii, and home RF Fixed Broadband Wireless Multiservice Wide Area Networks Mobile Wireless Wireless Personal Area Networks Bluetooth technologies: It is a cable replacement. It provide low cost wireless communications between PCs, mobile phones and other devices. It is a radio frequency technology for short- range wireless networking.

Week-3 (Lecture-1) WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) It allows web-like content to be sent to mobile devices. A special protocol-suite for wireless Web access Why we need WAP: Interface over mobile phones is different (The network is different, limited bandwidth) The client devices are different Ex. weak CPU, small memory restricted MMI (display and keyboard, no mouse) The users are different - ease of use is essential

Week-3 (Lecture-1) Conventional web Protocols Vs WAP Conventional web Protocols:
