What is Copyright?  As soon as the work is published, written down or recorded, or put down into some material form it is automatically copyrighted.

What is Copyright?  If you wish to copy or use some of or all of the work you may need permission from the owner.  It is a myth to say that because you aren’t making money from it copyright doesn’t matter. It does!

What should I do?  Use royalty free music where possible – check out _pop.html _pop.html  When we make a movie you can now use music that you like, famous pop songs. BUT you must reference where you got it from and who owns the copyright and who the author is. Music Big Jet Plane Angus & Julia Stone – from the Album Down the Way (2010)

What should I do?  Use your own images  Use images that have a Creative Commons license.  Reference the pictures – list where you got it from and who owns the copyright. Image courtesy of Miss Taylor July 2010

What should I do?  If in doubt and you must use it then reference where you got it from and who owns it.  If it’s not your work then reference it.  Check out this website for more information.
