The AIDS Accountability Workplace Scorecard Phillipa Tucker Senior Researcher

AAI Projects

AAI believes that strong and accountable leadership is necessary to ensure effective responses to HIV and related health challenges. We do this by increasing transparency, promoting dialogue and supporting action to improve the response. Needs-driven, evidence-based research and advocacy that measures performance against the commitments that have been made by govts. AAI Basic Strategy

This document sets the international human rights standard for the response to HIV and AIDS in the workplace But, the Recom. will only lead to the desired results through rigorous follow up mechanisms. So what do we use as a commitment for business? Measuring accountability in the workplace

The AIDS Accountability Workplace Scorecard thus aims to assess the implementation of the Recom. in the workplace, so as to  Stimulate improved HIV and AIDS workplace programmes in the countries and sectors most exposed to the disease, and  Ultimately improve health conditions for employees, their families and communities AAI Workplace Scorecard Objectives

1. Self-administered questionnaire (signed by management, worker representative and HIV coordinator) 2. Validation (interview, visit, desk research) 3. Ranking analysis against benchmarks 4. Recommendations 5. Publishing of ranking (voluntary) Data collection and analysis
