Family Values

Our aim as parents is to bring up children whose lives are an outward expression. Exercise 1.What values did you grow up with in your family? 2.What values do you have now?

Family Values Providing a frame work for our children’s lives We want to place into their hearts values that are good and honest. The heart The value library Value search system Honesty …is powerful in building strong, healthy relationships within the family.

Family Values How do we input these family values? Three practical ways: 1.Providing the reason ‘WHY’ when we ask them to do or stop doing something. 2.Answering their questions in such a way as to teach the values that are important to us. 3.Asking them questions to enable helpful discussion to follow.

Family Values Encouraging a healthy conscience Excercice “The healthy conscience test” – Try doing this test on yourself to see what sort of conscience you have.
