HEMP Revitalize the Economy of the Virgin Islands

The fiber is one of the most valuable parts of the hemp plant. It is commonly called bast, which refers to the fibers which grow on the outside of the plant’s stalk. Bast fibers give the plants strength. Hemp fibers can be between approximately 0.91 m (3 ft) and 4.6 m (15 ft) long, running the length of the plant.

 Acre for Acre hemp produce four times more paper than timber.  Wood use lots of chemicals to produce paper.  Hemp use no chemicals to produce paper.  Hemp paper is a stronger paper than wood paper.  High-strength fiber paper can be made from the hemp baste, also without chemicals.

If you’ve ever doubted that Cannabis sativa could improve your beauty regimen, think again. For centuries, hemp oil has served as a skin-improving miracle worker used as an emollient in everything from lip balm to hand salve. (Matt Hickman 2014).

Plastic Fuel This body is made almost completely from a hemp- based bio composite material.

With a negative carbon footprint of kg/m² of wall, hemp block construction is an energy efficient and natural building product given an A+ rating by BRE (Building Research Establishment). HEMP BLOCK CONSTRUCTION
