Assignment  Length of assignment: 2,500 words (+/- 10%), excluding references and appendices  Length of dissertation: 15,000 words (+/- 10%), excluding references and appendices  Oral presentation (MAAL6037 Advanced Research Methods

Assignment  Submit to Turnitin (a plagiarism software) for plagiarism check  Softcopy submitted to Turnitin on the due date first and then hand in the hard copy to the Programme Office during office hours (9:00 am to 5:30 pm) in three days’ time  Marked assignments will be returned in four weeks’ time  A feedback form with teacher’s comments will be attached to the marked assignment  Three grades: Distinction, Pass, Fail

Re-assessment  Re-assessment is required for any failed assignment and dissertation  Failed dissertation – be given one year for re- assessment  Failed assignment – re-submit in a month’s time

Examination results  Access the ‘Student Connect’ in HKU intranet to check and print the online results

Online course  selection selection  Username and password will be provided  Period for online course selection: 4 July afternoon to 10 July 23:59

Full-time students  Complete all courses in one academic year Part-time students  Not more than three courses per semester

NOTE: Capstone Course MAAL8999 Dissertation + MAAL6037 Advanced Research Methods

Pending: MAAL8999 Dissertation or its Equivalent Choose (a) Dissertation (15,000 words) + MAAL6037 Advanced Research Methods (oral presentation) Or (b) Portfolio (12,000 words) + one additional elective course (2,500 – 3,000 words)
