SENIOR PATROL LEADER Preside at all Troop meetings, events, activities, and annual program planning conference. Chair the Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) Appoint boy leaders with advise & consent of the Scoutmaster Assign Duties & responsibilities to other youth leaders Work with the Scoutmaster in training youth leaders Set a good example Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit

Be responsible for training & giving direct leadership to the following appointed leaders: historian, Order of the Arrow Troop representative, scribe, librarian, instructor, quartermaster, & chaplain. Train & Guide boy leaders Work w/ other responsible adults to bring Scouting to boys Use the methods of Scouting to achieve - Aims of Scouting Meet regularly w/ the Patrol Leaders’ Council for training & coordination in planning troop activities Attend all Troop Meetings or, when necessary, arrange for a qualified adult substitute Attend Troop Committee Meetings Conduct periodic parent sessions to share the program & encourage participation & cooperation Conduct Scoutmaster Conferences for all rank advancements Provide a systematic onboarding plan for new members & see they are registered promptly Delegate responsibility to other adults (Committee & assistants) so they are part of the Troop operations Conduct all activities under qualified leadership & safe conditions, and within the guidelines of the LDS Church Wear the Scout uniform correctly Live by the Scout Oath & Law Show & help develop Scout spirit SCOUTMASTER
