"India: Liberty and Death" Time Magazine Cover, October 27, artition_india.html

The India-Pakistan conflict today – It’s all about Kashmir. Mostly Muslim, but acquired by India in the 1947 partition.

Indian soldiers patrol streets in India-held Kashmir. They have been frequent targets for attack by Muslims in Kashmir who would prefer to be part of Pakistan.

Both countries possess nuclear weapons. A great concern for the international community is that Pakistan will fall under the control of militant/terrorist Islamists. Would they use nuclear weapons against India?

There are Islamic militant/terrorist groups, based in Pakistan, who are determined to drive India out of Kashmir. They see this as a Jihad – a war in defense of the Muslims in Kashmir.

Terrorist attacks in Mumbai in November, 2008; Carried out by an Islamic militant group that wants India out of Kashmir.

163 people were killed in the attack

"And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah.“ The rifle's placement above the Koran, and the inscription above, denote the organization's belief that violent jihad will establish a society based on Islamic precepts. Lashkar-e-Taiba

One of the group's posters suggests that the map be changed to include ''more Pakistans.'' Who are the enemies? India, U.S., & Israel
