National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Uganda Is a Public Corporation - 100% Government Established in 1972 with a mandate to provide water and sewerage services in Urban Areas on commercial & financially viable basis Currently serves in 66 towns 3.4 million people served 2,263 staff with 26% female

NWSC EXTERNAL SERVICES 13 Opportunities  The NWSC as an operator has the knowledge, experience and skill to assist utilities in the south deal with the challenges they face.  The NWSC has tested and tried solutions that have worked and can be easily be scaled up.  There is urgent demand in the region.  For real success to be registered interventions in utilities must be coupled with investments.

NWSC EXTERNAL SERVICES 14 Opportunities…/2  Dynamic business environment and rapidly changing technologies mean that NWSC and ESU have to keep pace otherwise become irrelevant hence the need for further enhancement of NWSC’s own capacities.
