The most influential figures in world history such as Karl Marx, Frederick Engels and V. I. Lenin attended meetings here. 6. London is one of the best cities in the world for shopping. The Carnaby Street is full of shoe shops and clothes shops. 7. London has got some really cool neighbourhoods. In Notting Hill you can visit the famous bookshop. 8. You have to try some local specialties when eating out. 9. Shop around when looking for discounted theatre tickets. 10. Go east rather than west for nightlife.
