My Philosophy

 Throughout my experience, I believe it is not the children who have changed but rather the community’s involvement in education. All children are curious and have an instinctive nature to learn, but you must have a community that fully supports its schools, its administration, and its teachers. It is this kind of environment where the education of students flourishes.

9:45 – 10:40 Competencies 3 & 4: Composing Process & Grammar Sentence Editing: 1. The butterfly rest on the flouer. 2. It also eat sum food. Objective(s): Identify and use pronouns and action verbs. Common Core: L.1.1c, L.1.1d I Can Statement: I can identify and use pronouns and verbs. Anticipatory Set: Display anchor chart on verbs and pronouns. Review with the class. Tell students they will learn how to use the correct verb and pronouns in sentences. Model: TTW model adding s to a verb that tells about a pronoun that names one. Remind students that you must add s to a verb that tells about a naming part that names one. The naming part can be a noun or pronoun. Guided Practice: TTW use the projectable 12.4 to complete a whole group activity on proper nouns. Independent Practice: TSW complete workbook page 116 on pronouns and verbs. TSW write the correct verb to finish each sentence. Materials & Resources: Teacher’s manual, student’s workbook, KWL chart, pictures of caterpillar and butterfly, anchor charts
