Index: Where is it located? A little bit about its history. What could you visit? Some traditions. Why did I choose this city?

Where is it located? Venice is an italian city located on a group of 117 islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. It's the capital of the Veneton region too.

A little bit about its history During the Middle Ages and Renaissance, Venice was an important maritime republic. It also had an important trade and a great art too.

What could you visit? Some buildings that you can visit are the Doge's Palace and the Ca' d' Oro that have a Gothic and a Byzantine styles. Other buildings are the Ca' Pesaro and Ca' Rezzonico which a Renaissance and Baroque styles. Ca' d' Oro Doge's Palace

The most important church in Venice is San Marcos, which was built in the 9 th century, which has a Byzantine and a Romanic styles too.

Other places to visit We can also visit the glass factories of Venice and Murano, where people make beautiful things in glass.

Some traditions Some traditions that you can find and enjoy are the cinema festival, where you can find numerous films and other cultural references, or the Venice Carnival where you can find disguises and masks uniques of there.

Some traditions Other tradition is a travel on a gondola that consists on crossing the “Canale Grande” while the gondolier sings.

Why did I choose this city? I chose this city because I think it's picturesque by its important art and it's original because it's has water canals which you can travel by gondola like a car in Seville. In addition, I think that its traditions are very funny and interesting for tourists and everyone.
