World Vision Water Let’s learn more about why water is important.

What are some things you do everyday that requires you to use water?

Why is not having clean water a problem?  Every day, nearly 1,000 children under 5 die from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene.  More children die every day from diarrhea caused by unsafe water than from AIDS or malaria.  Worldwide, 748 million people lack access to clean water. More than 90 percent of them live in rural areas.

How does clean water make a difference in the lives of children?

Because of clean water: Children can go to school Child deaths are reduced Parents have more time to start a business to generate income People have time to go to church Kids are given a chance to be a kid and play!

How does World Vision provide clean water?
