19K Abrams Armor Crew Instructor

Armor, The Combat Arm of Decision  As an Armor Instructor, I teach soldiers how to operate machine guns, Abrams tank systems and the employment of these systems  I write and develop courseware and Training Schedules.  I am responsible for the training of, enlisted, Officers and Non-commissioned Officers  I am the Senior Instructor for the Advanced Leaders Course

Professional Background  I have been an Instructor for since  I was a substitute teacher off and on for a few years when I was a drilling reservist.  I currently am the Subject Matter Expert and Course Writer for the 19 CMF Non Commissioned Officers Academy  I have been in the Military for 28 years total. 14 of which, have been active duty. I have been a Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, and Platoon Leader.

My interests  I have a 2007 Harley Davidson Road King Classic and enjoy going for long rides in the mountains.  I enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping.  I love history and am active in several Living history Groups.

Booker T. Washington I fully concur with Washington’s statement about being with people of quality. If you surround yourself with individuals of good quality, you have a tendency to want to achieve more. As a Leader, you need to develop the best traits in your people and work to bring about a reformation of those traits that are less desirable.

What I hope to emulate  I hope to always be a good leader, who sets the example and leads from the front.  Booker T. Washington worked to bring African Americans up from their positions in life in the post civil war era. He was a proponent for education and change.  He put himself into development of his curriculum.  I admire his hard work to provide a good curriculum and his endeavor to better himself and his peers through education.
