GUARDING A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES  Organized Activities  Questions that need answering for guarding organized activities:  What could go wrong that is unique to this activity?  What is the swimming ability and comfort level of this activity?  Are there unique obstacles that could get in the way of activating your EAP?  Do participants have medical conditions that could increase the risk of a sudden illness?

GUARDING A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES  Instructional Classes  Managers should consider instructors and coaches part of the safety team.  Instructors and coaches are responsible for the safety of their classes and teams but this does not mean you are exempt from duty.  You’re still expected to perform your duties and help with emergencies.  What are some risks of water exercise class with older adults?  What are unique risks of swimming lessons?
