Introduction In China red stands for good luck. There are a lot of dragons. During the year of the dragon there are more dragons. This year was the year of the goat. The new year started in late February and ended in early March. Every year the new year is a new animal. People eat noodles and dumplings.

Lion Dance Here is information about the lion dance. The lion dance is a Chinese tradition. People dress up like lions and dance. China also has a dragon dance. Red stands for good luck and there is red on the lion and dragon costumes. The lion dance is a dance that happens every year for the Chinese New Year. Today I am going to talk to you about Chinese dragons in Chinese New Year. The purpose of the Lion Dance is to bring good luck to the New Year and scare away the evil spirits.
