Urinalysis  Testing urine  gives information about carbohydrate metabolism and liver or kidney function  shows the acid-base balance  can reveal if client has urinary tract infection

Urinalysis Cont’d  Can be done with tablets, or chemical strips  Can be confirmary or quantitative  Some urine tests can be done for presence of drugs, toxic environmental substances, or infections
