Smarter Toddler Celebrates 14 Years of Instilling a Love of Art, Music & Learning in NYC Children 1888PressRelease - Leading Arts-Based Nursery & Preschool, Smarter Toddler®, Continues to Provide High Quality Childcare and Early Childhood Education Services to New York City Families For 14 Years. New York, NY - Fourteen years ago, two New York artists and parents pioneered an innovative arts-based program for families of infants and toddlers. With a unique curriculum supporting every child's natural artistic abilities and providing developmentally stimulating music experiences, Smarter Toddler saw rapid growth while serving hundreds of families throughout New York City. With its two original locations on Manhattan's West Side and doors opening spring 2016 in the Financial District and Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Smarter Toddler Nursery and Preschool® is creating a paradigm shift in the early child care and education industry. Through hands-on artistic exploration including visual art, music, theatre, movement, and dance, children are given the tools to express themselves, and a natural method of achieving language, literacy, social, emotional, physical and cognitive milestones. Kettia Ming, Co-Founder of Smarter Toddler, said, "At Smarter Toddler, young children are introduced to the joys of music and art. We offer a full day of engaging, creative experiences that develop an appreciation of art while stimulating a love of learning and a sense of community. Over the past 14 years, Smarter Toddler has become a second home for the many families we serve. This is why we ensure that all of our schools provide a nurturing, child- centered musical environment that allows our children to thrive." Lisa Alvarez, Director of Education at Smarter Toddler, said, "Our program is really unique and parents are drawn to it because they want their children to have these rich cultural experiences. From art lined walls to expertly designed spaces, children are exposed to art in a variety of ways. They explore a variety of artistic techniques and mediums through drawing, painting, collaging and sculpture."

In regard to Smarter Toddler's music offerings, Ms. Alvarez said, "Children are exposed to a vast repertoire of music including classical, jazz, folk and world. Whether experiencing music through hands-on exploration with instruments, song, and dance or just listening to soft background music that plays throughout our classrooms and hallways-music is a big part of every child's day at Smarter Toddler." ABOUT SMARTER TODDLER NURSERY & PRESCHOOL® Smarter Toddler Nursery and Preschool® was founded in 2003 by discerning artists and parents dedicated to providing children with a stimulating environment to grow and develop through creative expression and inquiry-based education.
