Final Preparation for Stonybrook

First of All- Congratulations on a Good Job! Projects really look great overall.

OK- What do we have to do before tomorrow? Website layout student must: 1.Have all of the components right on the front page OR inset a subpage listing so the links show on the top of the page. 2.Make sure each page has intro text AND image 3.PSA - all should be made public so they can be viewed by anyone 4.Google hangout MUST take place on TODAY. If they do not attend they must conduct an additional call on Friday. Screenshot the hangout! a.During the hangout, you must decide: i.Who’s presenting (at east 2 people must present) ii.What your strongest points are and highlight best parts of the presentation iii.Index cards for the presentation to facilitate discussion are optional iv.One group member can command the computer

What is expected of you during your presentation? 1. All of you will stand at the podium during the presentation. 2. AT LEAST 2 of you will speak during the presentation, but hopefully more/all of you. 3. Even though not all of you may speak, ALL parts of your web page must be presented (some students may be presenting something they didn’t do). 4. Please dress business casual (no hats, no sweatpants or jeans, preferably a collared shirt and tie). 5. You are not being judged just on the website, but also on your presentation. One option is to use index cards. The rubric on how you will be judged is here. 6. Remember, the winners are going to Google for a day in NYC.

PRIZES 1. The 1st place and 2nd place winners will go to Google with myself and the other teachers, some time in March. 2. The 1 st -3 rd place winners will also get a prize from their respective schools (probably food).
