WEBPAGE AUDIENCE The MCA website has a range of different audiences and you need to ensure that you try to cater to all types in some form: Examples of Audiences and examples of format of information AudienceExample PublicEasy to understand graphics or diagrams: usually looking for care pathways for family members or simple symptoms to explain a change in behaviour or places for them to contact for help Nurses / CarersDownloadable fact sheets on a range of suitable subjects associated to Wernicke’s Medical StudentsLinks to research papers or downloadable fact sheets relating to subject DoctorsLatest research, management & treatment and where to go for more information or if they are doing research in this area who to contact to get research published (MCA journal)

As well as creating the website page ‘look’ we would also need you to show clearly the content included in a flow diagram to demonstrate the links as well as the content layout (a basic example is below): The report

As well as the overview of the web page and sub pages that you will provide in the flow diagram, more information will need to be included for each page. See example below and review the checklist of ‘Things to Consider’ on the next page. The report

Your audience: who you are writing the pages for, primarily healthcare professionals already interested in the field A title for each section: to ensure the content is easy to read for the user Use of graphics: to make the page visually impactful (must provide copyright agreement) Use of links to other sites: this provides further information on and credibility (must provide written/email confirmation to use) Web page relationships Use of downloadable material: perhaps not all your information will be able to fit on the webpage and a link to a downloadable factsheet would be useful to the web user Things to consider about your design/content

Your webpage will sit under the ‘resources’ section on the MCA website. This is an area of the website that has a list of information for people to view, download etc. Familiarise yourself with this part of the site and what is currently on offer www.m-c- a.org.uk/Resources/Resourceswww.m-c- a.org.uk/Resources/Resources Look at the current web pages to get a feel for the site. Your page can be as creative as you like, but it is important that it fits in with the website’s overall look and feel Things to consider about the MCA website
