THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOUR EMOTIONS EMOTIONAL CONNECTIONS

QUESTIONS HOW EMOTIONALLY AWARE ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU THE MOST STRESSED ABOUT?

HUMAN BEINGS – HUMAN FUNCTION HEB. 4:12 We are created as a spirit being with a mind – the seat of will, intellect and emotions. We are put in a flesh suit but we are spirit with a mind. The spirit man is invisible, intangible, indomitable and indestructable. You are a spirit being having human experiences not a human being having spiritual experiences. We operate in parallel universes. You are a spiritual being living in a physical space. (physical dynamics – spiritual dynamics) Spiritual things must be interpreted through physical terms. This is purpose of the mind.

WHAT IS EMOTION? Emotion – a feeling and its distinctive thoughts, psychological and biological states and range of propensities to act. - Daniel Goleman

EMOTION DEFINED Emotion is the subjective sensation, feeling, and excitement perceived by the soul from its connection to the body. Like love, it is one of the fundamental expressions of the soul.

THE MIND – SPIRITUAL TRANSMITTER MATT. 6:22 Our lives must be interpreted rightly. Your spirit knows things that your mind must transmit for course of action. It has access to past, present and future knowledge. (wisdom and knowledge) Prov. 20:27 Your soul feels things about what your spirit knows. It has access to feelings in the past, present and future.

EMOTIONAL DISEASE - JER. 17:8-10 Disease – lack of ease 1. You feel uneasy. Based upon perception. 2. Is caused by unawareness – no knowledge. 3. Lack of emotional adjustment and unawareness leads to stress.

EMOTIONAL HEALTH AND TRANSFORMATION - HOSEA 4:6 "95% of all disease is caused by stress and 100% of all stress is caused by wrong belief." - Dr Bruce Lipton Belief is triggered by your thoughts, perceptions, interpretations of events and things. If you change your beliefs you alter your thoughts, perceptions, and interpretations. And by doing so you change your emotions. If you want to change a disease change the behavior that created it.
