 Electronic Mail handles mostly textual correspondence. In an office, letters & other documents are typed or scanned in one place & delivered quickly to another. sender recipient  The sender attaches the address code of the recipient to the document so it can be directed along the correct route. address  The sender's address is also included so that a response (from the recipient or the server to say that the message was or was not received) can be returned. done by T Batchelor CLICK TO CONTINUE

 Protocols – a set of rules for sending to and receiving data from a (computing) device. From a user's point of view, the only interesting aspect about protocols is that your computer or device must support the right ones if you want to communicate with other computers. The protocol can be implemented either in hardware or in software.  FTP – short for file transfer protocol, ftp is the protocol for exchanging files over the internet.  TCP/IP – the internet protocol suite (commonly known as TCP/IP) is the set of communications protocols used for the internet and other similar networks. It is named from two of the most important protocols in it: the transmission control protocol (TCP) and the internet protocol (IP), which were the first two networking protocols defined in this standard.  HTML – hypertext markup language – used to structure the text and multimedia www documents; it allows the keywords to become links and the information to be presented as more than just text.  HTTP – hypertext transfer protocol – this is the primary access method for interacting with the internet. done by T Batchelor CLICK TO CONTINUE
