CIVICS/CITIZENSHIP

What are civics? The study or science of the privileges and obligations of citizens.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN UNITED STATES CITIZEN? WHAT DO CITIZENS DO? ARE THERE ANY EXPECTATIONS OF CITIZENS?

There are only two ways to become a U.S. citizen: either by law, or by birth. What Does It Take to Become a U.S. Citizen?

A process where you show Immigration, that you meet certain legal requirements for becoming a U.S. citizen Naturalization

Through their parents' naturalization, some children become U.S. citizens automatically. Children become U.S. citizens through their parents' naturalization as long as all of the following requirements are met before the child's 18th birthday. – At least one parent is a U.S. citizen, – The child is under 18 years of age, and – The child is admitted to the United States as an immigrant. Derivative Citizenship

A child might have "acquired" U.S. citizenship at birth without knowing, or without the parents knowing, if they were born outside the United States and either parent was a U.S. citizen when the child was born. Acquired Citizenship

LETS TAKE A TEST! DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A NATURALIZED CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES?
