Presentation transcript:

Algebra 1 Section 4.2 Graph linear equation using tables The solution to an equation in two variables is a set of ordered pairs that makes it true. Is (2,3) a solution of 5x – 2y = 4? Are the ordered pairs also solutions? (0,-2) (1, ½) (3,2)

Are the ordered pairs (3,2),(0,4), and (6,0) solutions of 2x + 3y = 12? The graph of an equation in two variables is the set of ordered pairs that are the solution to the equation.

Graph the equation by making a table of ordered pairs. 2x + y = 1

Graph the equation by making a table of ordered pairs. 2x + 3y = 6

Graph the equation by making a table of ordered pairs. x = 4

Graph the equation by making a table of ordered pairs. y = 2
