 Manifest  Clear and obvious Destiny events are sure to happen Manifest Destiny suggested that expansion was not only good for the United States, but bound to happen. What does Manifest Destiny Mean?

 O’Sullivan thinks Americas stands for success and greatness. In the text it states “ Who then, can doubt that our country is destined to be the great nation of futurity?(O’Sullivan)” This shows that O’Sullivan is confident in the capabilities of the United States.  According to the text America’s goal is to full fill their “Manifest Destiny” and expand to the west. In the text it states “ We are the nation of human progress, and who will, what can, set limits to our onward march?(O’Sullivan)” This shows that O’Sullivan feels that the U.S. should expand or “march” to the west and that no other country or group can stop them.
