Introduction What is 2D? 2D means the object that has two dimensions, i.e. height and width. What is 3D? 3D is a kindle of sense organ experience which means three dimensional, i.e. something that has width, height and depth.

3D Display Device A 3D display is any display device capable of conveying three-dimensional images to the viewer. Auto stereoscopic Display(3DTv) Glasses Holography

Types Of 3D Display Stereoscopic Auto Stereoscopic Holographic Display

1. Stereoscopic Display Stereoscopic 3D displays show a different image to each eye. In stereoscopic display human need glasses to see movie. Glasses are available in various types . As many company developing glasses there is many types of glasses are available in market.

Holographic Display Holography (from the Greek, whole + write) is the science of producing holograms It is an advanced form of photography that allows an image to be recorded in three dimensions. The technique of holography can also be used to optically store, retrieve, and process information.

History of Holography Invented in 1948 by Dennis Gabor for use in electron microscopy, before the invention of the laser. Leith and Upatnieks (1962) applied laser light to holography.

Computer Generated Holography Volumetric Holography Types Of Holography Computer Generated Holography Volumetric Holography

Computer Generated Holography:- Method for Computer Generated Holography:- The computer sends the image to the projector. The projector generates light beams which form the image on the screen. When the user touches the screen, a tactile membrane film reacts to these movements, generating electrical impulses that are sent back to the computer. The computer interprets the received impulses and modifies the projected image according to the information.

The projector generates the beams of light that will form the image on the screen's film, which is adhered to the crystal support. The projector is usually located behind the screen and must be placed a certain angle above or below the user's line of sight to avoid the dazzling the user. Therefore, it must be trapezoidal projector, so it can compensate for the deforming of the images at this angle of displacement.

Thin Plastic Display The films are thin sheets of plastic applied to the crystal that allow both visualization and interactivity. There are two types of films: Screen film: This film can be opaque or transparent. It is possible to work with different degrees of opacity that can vary between 90% and 98%, depending on the application (interior, exterior, natural lighting, artificial lighting, etc.). Tactile membrane: This film enables interactivity. Capacitive projected technology catches user gestures and sends impulses to the computer.

Method To Construct Hologram:- Laser : Red lasers, usually helium-neon (HeNe) lasers, are common in holography. Beam splitter: This is a device that uses mirrors and prisms to split one beam of light into two beams. Mirrors: These direct the beams of light to the correct locations.

Hologram properties:- If you look at these holograms from different angles, you see objects from different perspectives, just like you would if you were looking at a real object. They usually just look like sparkly pictures or smears of color. If you cut one in half, each half contains whole views of the entire holographic image.
