Recap: Government Compensation in 2011 round Occupations Level of Experiences Number of items 148 Member of parliament and Military related occupations were not used for global linking Building caretaker, Office cleaners, Secretaries were used for multiple basic headings Agreement at its 9 th and 10 th RC meeting (following TAG/CoTaF recommendations) Items for Global Linking: Survey Questionnaires: Data Collection Form (for remuneration) Questionnaire on Government Expenditures Pay & Employment Data Structure

Updates in the item list 1. SPD format 2. Update item code 3. “Gross” Remuneration For clear and precise item definitions For the two occupations, last 4 digits are aligned with ISCO code (in line with other occupations) Type Annual total remuneration (gross), including in- kind remuneration Item Code Item NameDatabase administratorComputer operator In order to be consistent with SNA definitions, data needs to be before the deduction of tax or social contributions payable by the employee

Discussion points Level of Experiences Only two regions provided data for level of experiences in ICP2011 Regions may want to collect information level by level to obtain more accurate average remunerations For global linking, requirement could be only average of levels? Deletion of items Some occupations were with very low coverage and/or low comparability in ICP2011 Possible deletion?: Kitchen helper, Senior government official, Cook, Messenger, Vocational education teacher (  SPDs) Frequent data collection Data are collected from official government pay scales Regular updates from official pay scales would be a possible option to be implemented? (easier than extrapolation?)
