Senior Exit Interview Presentation

1.Get you thinking about life after high school 2.Help you to organize short and long term goals 3.Force you to think about possible and realistic career options 4.Help you to reflect on this process which will affect your plans after high school. Purpose of the Senior Exit Interview:

1. Teachers and/or administrators to evaluate minute presentation 3. Preparation is important 4. Enthusiasm, clarity of thoughts, realistic goals and plans are key to a successful interview 5. Questions about your presentation will be asked at the end 6. A computer presentation is required (NO video monologues please) The Interview

1. Six to ten slides with bullets to guide your presentation 2. Each slide addresses a different issue – less is more when it comes to words on a screen 3. Can list out your interests, goals, requirements to get you there (in detail), obstacles and how you plan on overcoming them, etc.. Presentation Ideas

Your multi-media presentation should include the following: 1.Slide 1-2 – What is your SMART Goal? What you have done to this point to get me ready for my path after high school 2.Slide 3 – Why do you want to pursue this potential career? Why are you interested in a particular field/occupation? Maybe mention a key person or event who inspired you in some way. 3.Slide 4-5 – Plan of action: What do you need to do to achieve SMART Goal? What specifically do you need to accomplish? 4.Slide 6 – Personal characteristics: what makes you well suited for this career? What are your personal characteristics you have to overcome in order to be successful? 5.Slide 7: Potential obstacles: Other than personal characteristics, who will you overcome potential obstacles in pursuit of your career? 6. Slide 8: Highlights from the interview of a person working in or teaching about the field. 7. Slide 9: Connection to the community: How will your potential career enable you to give back to the community? 8. Slide 10: Reflection of the Exit Interview Process: How did you overcome obstacles throughout the completion of the project?
