Why think about aboriginal people in Australia?

From a traveling perspective… Cultural Immersion = Cultural Sensitivity

From a literary perspective… Why do people write? What do they write about? How is/was information passed from generation to generation? How is what each culture writes about different because of what they have been through as a culture?

From a personal perspective… Understanding the experiences of others helps us understand our own experiences. This is true on personal, cultural, and historic levels. (The experience of indigenous Australians is similar to the experiences of indigenous/native Americans)

Who are the Australian Aborigines?

The Meaning of the word Aborigine and Aboriginal “The word "aborigines" is usually used to refer to the original native people of an area before the arrival of invading or colonizing people from elsewhere” ( It is derived from the Latin stem words ab+origine meaning 'from the beginning'.
