Written For Written in the 1950’s regarding the Red Scare of Senator Joseph McCarthy Wanted people to see that what they were doing was like a witch hunt----it had no real merit.

Characters Abigail Williams- (18) Orphan, and Niece to Reverend Parris John Proctor- (Early-mid 30’s) Farmer, and critic of Rev. Parris Rev. Parris- Minister of Salem; Uncle to Abigail, and Father to Betty; Formerly a merchant in Barbados Tituba-Slave of Rev. Parris from Barbados who knows black magic
