What else can parents do?  Don’t rely on the classroom alone to satisfy your child’s desire to learn. Investigate after- school programs, weekend programs, summer classes, and distance learning experiences.  Gifted children may tend to focus only in areas where they excel because their only standard of acceptability is perfection. Encourage them to take risks!  Stay informed of opportunities!
