Elissa Vert 3 rd Leete 03/15/15 Housing and Transportation Needs

Housing Needs 1213 Gold Ct. Traverse City, MI Cost of the house: $254,900 Down Payment: $50,980 (254,900*.20=50,980) Mortgage: $203,920 (254,900-50,980=203,920) Built in 1999

Family Size I am married with two kids, one is 6 years old and the other is 8 years old. My husband and I are both working.

Weather of Traverse City, MI The weather in Traverse City is cold, snowy winters, and hot summers.

Annual Income I make 60k a year.

Total Distance to Work From 1213 Gold Ct. to 445 E Front St it is a 14 minute drive. I found this out by going to google maps and putting in the address of my house and the address of my work.

House Insurance House insurance for my selected home would be $ (254,900/1,000=254.90*3.14=800.39)

Furniture Kids Beds: 2 twin beds from the Leo Collection at Art Van $ each, a total of $ plus tax of $24.00 = $ grand total. Two Kids Chests: From the same collection at Art Van for $ each, a total of $ plus tax of $24.00 = $ grand total. Dining Table and Chairs: 5pc leg table dining set for $ plus tax of $33.42 = a total of $

Purchasing and Closing Costs Average origination fees charged by lenders= $1,835. Average third-party fees= $600. Average origination plus third-party fees= $2,435 (Above information is for the State of Michigan) So technically I would be writing a check for $53,415. (50,980 down payment+ 2,435 closing costs = $53,415)

Transportation Needs The vehicle I would like to purchase is a 2015 Subaru Impreza. The asking price for this car is $18,195. I would be making a $2,000 down payment so I would have to pay $338 a month as my monthly payment

Parking Costs Downtown parking in Traverse City: I can either park on the street and pay for a meter for two hours at max at a rate of 25 cents for a half hour, or I can use the parking garages that are open from 7am to 6pm. Their rates are $1.00 per hour with a daily maximum of $10.00.

Registration and License Plate Fees To get the Subaru Impreza registered and licensed it would cost me $ I found this information at

Insurance For full coverage on the Subaru Impreza it would be around $ a month, with a $500 deductible. I based this on what my dad pays for his full coverage on his car per month.

Maintenance For the Subaru Impreza the oil should be changed every 3,000 miles. The oil changes cost anywhere between $25.00 and $50.00 depending on the amount of miles on the car. Subaru also offers tune-ups which includes checking fluids, lubricating joints, etc.

Gas/Fuel The Subaru gets 25mpg in the city and 34mpg on the highway, and has a 14.5 gallon gas tank. So to fill up the gas tank at an average gasoline price of $2.02 it would cost me about $29.29.

Extra Information on the Car The 2015 Subaru Impreza includes the following safety features: All Wheel Drive Antilock Braking System Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) Eyesight Driver Assist Technology Seven front airbags including dashboard, sides, and at the drives knees.
