Factsheet of the programme NGO PROGRAMME IN BULGARIA Total amount: EUR 11,790,000 What will be supported: Projects in the following priority areas: -Democracy, human rights and good governance -Social inclusion and empowerment of vulnerable groups -Sustainable development and protection of the environment -Capacity building for NGOs Who can apply: NGOs established in Bulgaria Objective of the NGO Programme: Strengthened civil society development and enhanced contribution of NGOs to social justice, democracy and sustainable development

Goal: Supporting as many as possible NGO projects that could bring for positive change in the priority areas of the Programme Means: Conducting 3 open calls for proposals, providing assistance and applying capacity building measures When: First open call for proposals in January 2013 Deadlines: -at least two months will be available for preparation and submission of project proposals; -supported projects should be completed by April 2016 Next steps: A launch event for NGOs will be organised in November 2012; the Programme website will be operational in December 2012 Aims and next steps NGO PROGRAMME IN BULGARIA

Bilateral relations and specific concerns The bilateral dimension: Bilateral projects and strengthened cooperation between Bulgarian NGOs and organisations from the donor states will be encouraged and supported Our partners: The Norwegian Royal Embassy, the Norwegian Helsinki Committee, the Council of Europe, the National Focal Point Securing the specific concerns: -At least 10% of the total allocation for each area will be allocated to children and youth related activities -At least 10% of the total regranting amount will be targeted towards Roma
