PICTURE BOOK OF THE WEEK The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle is a favorite book of early childhood professionals children and parents. This colorful children’s book follows the very hungry caterpillar as it grows from egg to cocoon to beautiful butterfly. It also teaches the days of the week, counting, good nutrition and more. It is the perfect springboard for authentic math and science activities.
